Savage Messiah
Savage Messiah is an English thrash metal/heavy metal band formed in May 2007 in London. The band was formed by guitarist and lead vocalist Dave Silver and also consists of guitarist Joff Bailey, bassist Stefano Selvatico and drummer Andrea Gorio. Their debut self-financed EP Spitting Venom was released on 1 October 2007 by SMR Productions (the bands own label) to generally positive reviews.
In January 2009, the band was signed to Candlelight Records, and entered the studio with Grammy-nominated producer Chris Tsangarides to record their second album, Insurrection Rising.
Insurrection Rising was released on October 19, 2009. It was recorded in The Ecology Room studios in Deal, England. They worked with producer Chris Tsangarides, who also produced the albums Painkiller by Judas Priest and Tattooed Millionaire by Bruce Dickinson as well as having production credits for bands such as Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, Yngwie Malmsteen and more recently Biomechanical as well as many others. Recording for the album was finished in March and Scott Atkins (Cradle of Filth, Gama Bomb) was hired to mix the album.
It was announced on 13 August 2010 that Savage Messiah was to be signed by Earache Records, with whom they signed a worldwide multi-album deal. The band posted a statement on their website stating: "We are very proud and excited to sign with Earache Records. This is an exciting time for Savage Messiah as we are currently writing our new album, and hope to be on tour soon to present the new material".
"We would like to thank everybody at Earache for this fantastic opportunity, and we are really looking forward to getting out and thrashing with the fans".
The band's third album, Plague Of Conscience, is set for an early 2012 release. On 12 October 2011, they released an advanced mix of the song "The Accuser".
In 2012 Drummer from the Plague Of Conscience album Mauricio Chamucero was replaced by former BlackAge drummer Andrea Gorio.
On the 1st July 2013. Savage Messiah entered the studio to record their as of yet untitled 3rd album. Scott Atkins once again has been confirmed as their producer. It will be the first album to feature drummer Andrea Gorio and is to be released on the 10th March in Europe and 18th March in the USA.
