Born out of a form of romantic punk-rock escapism, Salem is the offshoot project of Creeper’s Will Gould and long term friend and man of many bands Matt Reynolds. Delving into the grungy world of guitar driven gothic rock and gloomy dark pop for a pressure free project that became the band Salem, their self titled EP is an ode to all the early influences in emo think Alkaline Trio, The Cure and My Chemical Romance channeling these bands penchant for melodic rock sounds and emotional lyrical expression whilst putting their own bubblegum pink stamp on proceedings.
