The Intersphere

The four band members met at the Mannheim Pop Academy and came together in 2005 under the name Hesslers . The name refers to the surname of singer and guitarist Christoph Hessler. Hessler had already written songs and found the right musicians in Moritz Müller, Thomas Zipner and Sebastian Wagner to put them into practice. The debut album sobp was self-produced in 2006 , from which the title song Small Ones Brain Pain was released as a single. The band subsequently played numerous concerts across Germany, mostly in small clubs and youth centers. Hessler emphasized the importance of these experiences for the band to Deutschlandfunk: "We simply always tried to play a lot, use every power outlet, play a lot of clubs and then keep developing it. That's how the whole band sound developed. Everyone knew where their place was and how they could best fill it." [ 1 ] Through intensive touring in the early days of the band's history, Hesslers earned a reputation as an accomplished and energetic live band.
